Here’s another one I’ve been impatiently waiting for, my listening schedule is jam-packed this week and this lyrical work of art is consuming a solid block of it. XrossroadsX’ Em Out” the mixtape isn’t just a lyrical exercise of immaculate flows from the worldwide tour & Detroit legend Supa Emcee – for we also have some legendary production via grammy nominated producer Baby Paul. DJ Los provides some of his golden cuts & we get some terrific moments from Alexis Allon across as well. Pierre Anthony doesn’t disappoint either lending his abilities on “The Greatest“. Take it all in & enjoy yet another terrific Titan Records release!

Sada Baby – Bartier Bounty

Published

The Detroit star responsible for last years mega-hit “Bloxk Party” featuring Underground Hip Hop Awards performer Drego starts off the year with a brand new mixtape jam packed with exciting listening material. Not only do get last years mega-hit but “Bartier Bounty” is a largely one-man show for rapper Sada Baby laced with bangers that truly let him shine without the need for much assistance. Besides Drego the features are knocked out on the first two records including one of my favorites on the tape “Bonnie & Blyde” featuring the illustrious voice of Ashley Sorrell who we heard on last years critically acclaimed “Book of Ryan“. As you dig into the twenty cuts on “Bartier Bounty” the consistency carries through & Sada Baby is able to supply a definitive sound that you can easily recognize and associate with him. Without a doubt “Bartier Bounty” has a solid supply of heat to hold you over till the summer, supplying fans with a satisfying dose of new music.

After delivering the top album coming out of the city of Pontiac, MI thus far in 2018 “4 So LongKiD Swoop carries us another direction with his surprise mixtape “Ruò lǚ”. Translated into Underdog Swoop gives definition to that meaning throughout the thirteen track project. Technically twelve songs for the outro drops knowledge as an epilogue to the banger driven records. After giving listen front to back a couple tracks come to mind as standout records between KiD Swoop’s signature delivery & well-matched production. “Yoppa Poppa”  & “Destination Of Money” are those two songs – different in nature yet melding into the overall project and shining thru as you listen on. The overall vibes bring another consistent and measured effort & it hasn’t even been so long since “4 So Long“! I had a chance to chop it up with Swoop the other night at our DetroitRap.com Media Mixer event & upon conversation, it becomes quickly evident that he is serious about his artistry and providing for the true fans. Now with his latest free mixtape packed full of new music it also becomes evident that Kid Swoop isn’t just an “underdog” – he’s one who is poised to become the favorite bringing out a consistent batch of work for day one fans as well as new ears. Enjoy Ruò lǚ.
