Artist Joei Redd was born on Jan 22 in Detroit, Michigan. She also exhibits a passion for music. At a very young age Joei began rapping and creating full songs. Her style is often compared to that of MC Lyte or Queen Latifah.

Her strong vocals and passionate inflections in her music make for a compelling and entertaining combination of artistry through hip hop.  By 15 Joei had established a name for herself amongst her peers as “Gifted” one of many stage names she would label herself after ultimately being known as Joei Redd.  As Joei Redd she wrote songs such as “Real Love” “Fly Solo”, “My Life” and “Tell Em” (produced by OG Taxx from 808 Mafia). She has also written songs that provoke thought and conversation such as “Ain’t Ever”, “Fugazi” and “Change” all produced by Enzo Fury.

Joei Redd began pushing her music on social networks and around her neighborhood. After she gained a buzz around the city she began to perform more and more going on to Co-Host a local open mic night known as Microphone Mondays with accredited Dj Big Dawg Blast of Detroit eventually being the first female rapper to become affiliated with the Conglomerate Dj’s. She went on to win Mc Contests in both her hometown of Detroit as well as in Cincinnati, OH.

She’s done features with multiple artists such as El Rey, ASOE, A.T.A.L.L. and Woodrow. Her song “Fly solo” has been featured on multiple mixtapes such as Real Talk Vol. 1 and multiple Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes.  Songs such as “Checking for me” and “Money Bags” have been featured in online publications as well as on local Mixtapes. Joei’s music has been the opening soundtrack for J Club TV Reality show in Tokyo, Japan. Also, Joei’s song “No Worries” got picked up by Comedy Centrals Production Series “The Detroiters” summer episode. The response to her music has been overwhelming. Her songs have been played on international Internet Radio such as Core Radio and 31st and 3rd Morning along with being interviewed on air after dropping one of her first singles “ Real Love”. She has opened shows up for PoloFrost, Lauren Lograsso, Boomerang Gaines, 550City and the highly acclaimed Kid Vishis and the Vishis Movement. Joei Redd has also performed alongside her official Dj, Dj Dash in Detroit’s 107.5 Imported from the D contest at Saint Andrews Hall, Hosted by DjBj

KK Produxions Presents “EPITOME MUSIC” Peep the Visual for “BE ME” featuring Creole

Depending on what era of Detroit Hip Hop you follow, you may know him as “Killa Kaun” or maybe just “Kaun” hence the KK PRODUXIONS. But today in 2021 we know him as KILLZ. Legendary Freestyler, Battle Rapper (before battles were pre-written) Promoter, Photographer recently added music producer to the list and one hell of a writer.

Killz music has always come from the streets, the hood to be exact. But not the simple grammar that you mostly find in street music today. Now we dont say this to paint the picture that he is Hippidy Hoppidy lyrical miracle that can fly over the common listeners head… No he just has a way with words that every great writer displays.

Killz has always been a giver, a man that enjoys giving opportunities. For the only purpose of wanting to see those around him shine too. There is no question that Killz can carry a entire project solo but this time around he decided to share the spotlight and big up the next artist to carry the KK Produxions flag.

We are not sure that any songs captures the REAL KILLZ on this compilation as “BE ME” does featuring Creole. The visual from “BE ME” takes us on a historical journey via the life of KILLZ. A flash back on his life now as he delivers the verse in the desert sun.

American Gangsta feat Killz, Creole, and Black Laz, is the perfect song for a movie soundtrack. The struggle for the black man trying to come up is real, either you ride all day for yours or fall off to the wasteside.

“Some of yall just gotta look in the mirror to see a fake nigga” Killz first words on the song “FAKE LOVE” says it all. Now a days it seems as if everyone is fake, has a hidden agenda or just secretly out to destroy you. We cant get ahead with those type in your circle. you may find yourself all alone at times. But these moments only make a real one stronger.

The youngest on the squad Syncere features on the track “City Bars”, while Creole Baby brings some RnB flavor on the song “Just a Minute” and it wouldnt be a Killz produced project without a little shake sumn music like you’ll find on “Twerk It Out”. Killz is a emcees emcee so one of the tracks that will resonate with any artist that lived thru the struggle is “Breathing Treatment” feat King Crooked and Black Laz.

We strongly recommend giving Epitome Music a listen
