Eastside Detroit’s NO$MIF Impactful Impression With “Used To” Music Video & More!
From the Eastside of Detroit arrives the artist known as NO$MIF. Sifting through the onslaught of content coming at us through our new submission page found here, NO$MIF came through as the first discovery I knew I had to post.
As I clicked on the first video for the record “Used To” which can be seen above, I instantly was drawn in by the hook. Referencing the days of the RAZR and Bluetooth, the song delivers on his 90’s hip-hop influences and presents versatility between singing & rapping from the 1992-born artist.
Featuring a smooth mix between his singing and life-inspired bars, I was very quickly pulled in and ready to listen to more from NO$MIF.
Listening to more is exactly what I did. In fact, I went binge-listening. Kicking things off with “Demo Tape”, as we truly get a deeper look at NO$MIF’s delivery, cadence, and style. Entrenched in the sonic rumblings of classic boom bap the Detroit artist gives us a shining first impression.
Standouts include the intro “Est. 1992”, “Vices”, and “Used To” which is what drew me in off the bat. Better yet, if that’s not enough to satisfy your hip-hop appetite he recently released “How I Become Him”, a melodic, lyrical, and well-rounded effort that further solidifies his substance.
Take in both the releases below and see what you think for yourselves. As always if you like what you hear hit up the artist via the below info on social media and share this post! Every bit helps shine light on some of the finest art and music coming from the 313!
