Justin Pitts better known by his stage name JayPitts is an American rapper and singer from Detroit,MI. Jay caught the attention of management company Odyssey Entertainment Group in 2021 throughone of his many viral TikTok videos. Since signing with Odyssey, Jay has spent 2021 writing and recordingmusic and recently struck a distribution deal with Foundation media.Jay's arsenal is stacked with multiple EP's coming out this year with the first “Jay Against the Galaxy”coming out Spring 2022. Jay says, “2022 people can expect me to be able to be more refined andcreatively focused.”His lead single off this project is called “Butterflies” and will be available on all platforms February 11,2022. "Butterflies" record and coinciding music video will give listeners a taste of his evolved and refinedsound and tease what's to come for Jay's musical takeoff this year. His motivation behind the songstems from wanting to take his listeners on a journey of self-realization and evolution. The process forcreating Butterflies involved Jay tapping into a level of vulnerability that allowed him to get his visionacross. Music has always been a passion for Jay. Starting in 2011, he began putting out music onSoundcloud and since then has been focusing on growing as an artist. His musical inspirations includeLupe Fiasco, Andre 3000, and Lauryn Hill. He shares the same ideologies of challenging societal normsand pushing the boundaries in creatively expressing yourself through music.“I feel I haven’t realized my full potential, and life has taken me through a tough process where a lot ofpatience is required, but in the end, I’ll get to be a newer and better version of me.
