One Be Lo hasn’t performed in Pontiac since 2015. Born and raised in Pontiac, Mi as Raland Scruggs aka Rahlo and rapping since Highschool, here comes Nahshid Sulaiman aka One Be Lo, full circle. After graduating from Pontiac Northern in 1994, Lo fell of track and ended up going to prison that same year for armed robbery. This is when he changed his name to Nahshid, and change his mind to use Hip Hop as a tool for change, starting with himself, close friends and ultimately people across the world.After being released from prison, he cofounded a Group called Binary Star and performed on parole all across Michigan while releasing music independently. In 2000 he founded Subterraneous Records and more artists joined the crew. Since then One Be Lo has released 4 i ray Star albums (Masters of the Universe, Water World 3, Lighty and Ears Apart), 1 compilation album (Subterraneous Records Presents Water World Too), 8 solo albums (Fetus, Sonogram, Rebirth, Labor, Kick Push, Original Born Ones, C Section, Baby), 2 live albums (DL7, 10 G.r.a.m.s), 6 mix tapes (Stillborn, Laborhood 1-5), and 5 audio books (The Looma part 1-5).One June 12th, One Be Lo will present The Art Official His Story of Hip Hop show at the Flagstar Strand Theater, hosted by Uncle P. To celebrate 20 years of hip hop, The Baby album is featured along with 14 other albums on a custom 16gb usb, inside of a Test Tube, with sign Birth Certificates. The Art Official Test Tube Baby will be available at the show on June 12th.
