When you think of MCs in this city that should have a deal, Miz Korona’s name should be at the top of the list. Not only has she been featured on major records, but she laid down the memorable freestyle against Xzibit in 8 Mile. Korona is the perfect person to put the female rapper stereotype to rest.
“Around my tenth birthday, my mom got me a record player and Two 12”s: Run DMC and JJ Fad. I fell in love with hip-hop that day,” Korona says.

Miz Korona feels as if it has taken her whole life to finally get to a point where she’s ready to drop an official album. “I needed more direction, as far as songwriting and production. I also had to learn more about the business,” she says about the album’s hold-up. In 2009, she will release The Injection and Dope Muzik, both produced by Chanes.
