The objective for the company remains the same with a renewed effort. They intend on being the end all be all to Detroit websites that focus on Detroit hiphop and its artist. The merger was a no brainer to be honest, but that can only happen when you have good people with bright minds that understand there is power in numbers and have a true desire to succeed.

“I admire what they have accomplished over at DirtyMitten” Says Uncle P. “They are a beast when it comes to updating information, they have the inside scoop when it comes to some of detroits top artist, and they promote heavily online”. If you put that work ethic with the longest running name in Detroit hiphop websites, the most active forums in the state, and a brand new look which has DetroitRap.com being compared to myspace for hiphop in Detroit and you have the likes of a successful merger. It has been a long process trying to get respect back to the DetroitRap.com brand. “The former owners ran the site in the ground so bad that no one in the Detroit community wanted anything to do with us”, even close friends advised Jay Mills and Uncle P not to purchase it. “Its been a LONG journey to this point” says Uncle P, “we have successfully brought the brand back and now its time to get some new blood so this site will be entertaining to those who love hiphop around the world”. I am excited as to what the future holds with this new team says P.

With the new staff in place, look for DAILY updates to the frontpage, exclusive tracks, daily video updates, event listings, and the gossip as to whats going on behind the scenes in Detroit. Artist, Producers, Promoters, and labels can all come to the site and create there on slice with in DetroitRap.com. So whats the future hold for DirtyMitten.com? Well to all you loyal fans its not going anywhere just a slight change of focus. The DirtyMitten site will concentrate more on the Free downloads of Albums and Mixtapes from your favorite detroit artist. Ya never know we may make it the first online record company for detroit, but youll just have to wait and see on that one. We have already started a event called the Monthly Mixer which consist of 2 feature performers, producer beat battle, and a dj playing nothing be Detroit hiphop & R&B. This is there first crack of bringing the online hype to the streets, in 2009 look for more events in the form of release parties, open mics, music conference, award show, and various charitable activities to show that us involved with hip hop care about our communities. Starting next month look for a MASSIVE promo campaign designed to make DetroitRap.com a household name wherever you may be.
